Desktop Farm Day Site

With the onset of COVID-19, many youth educational programs across the state of Virginia were cancelled.  The suspension of face-to-face programming affected many annual county agriculture awareness programs.  These programs are often called Farm or Ag Days and are hosted on local farms.  Farm and Ag Day events are typically setup with 12 to 15 educational stations around a working farm for students to learn what a farm is like and how important agriculture is to the community.

This collection of Desktop Farm Day videos covers many of the topics that are typically presented during these programs.  Each video presentation is a 5 to 8 minute on-site visit with farmers or agriculture professionals.  As a bonus, short quizzes are available to test each student's knowledge gained by watching a particular Farm Day station video.  Virginia Cooperative Extension hopes that you enjoy these virtual visits on the Desktop Farm Day Site.
